November 2011 Enterprise Club Networking Event – Video Update

As part of Global Entrepreneurship Week, Airedale Enterprise Services organised an Enterprise Club Networking Event on Friday 18th November for people who were interested in working for themselves or starting up a business.

The event was hosted by Airedale Enterprise Services, and organised by our new team of Enterprise Coaches David Humphreys and Rav Panesar.  Enterprise Coaches are embedded in the local community, making connections, becoming trusted and having structured conversations that help people to uncover their aspirations and reach their potential.

Guest Speaker The Mayor of Keighley Tony Wright opened proceedings, sharing his own experiences of setting up in business, and giving out valuble advice on business start-up, survival and eventual growth.  Other speakers included Tony Wilson from the New Enterprise Allowance, Meg Heath from the Business Enterprise Fund, Nigel Gorski from Nigel Gorski Consulting and David Humphreys who talked about Enterprise Coaching.

Over 50 people attended, and included those thinking of starting up, through to existing businesses wanting to network and find out more about business support availability across the District.  A raffle also took place with all the proceeds going to Children In Need, so congratulations to the eventual prize winners Emma Austin, Darren Baines and Jas Singh.  Networking opportunities allowed people to make valuable contacts, talk to like-minded people in a similar position, and find out more about working for themselves.

Film of the event was kindly put together by Keighley-based,  Butterfly Films:
